Xi’an, China

Finally it’s not freezing! We arrived into a very mild Xi’an at 7am and it was so lovely not to be able to see your breath when you breath, however there is a lot more smog here.

The next few locations are just brief whistle stop tours with one night in each. Smelly and ready for a shower we were allowed to chill until lunch which was well needed. After this we were up and away on a city tour. Xi’an doesn’t have thattttt much to offer apart from the terracotta warriors but there were some beautiful market stalls. I’ve seen so many paintings that are stunning and thankfully I was able to barter the one down that I liked to £4.50!

Impractical but i love it!

In the evening we got back on the rice wine as we were next door the club which is in a temple!

The cold from Beijing really got to me and I was full of flu and combined with a hangover I didn’t feel too prepared for the warriors but they were incredible!

I had no idea there were 3 pits of them, thousands all different it was so amazing! There is constantly so much to take in it all feels like too much at points but I feel very lucky to be here and experience the amazing things that I am doing.

On to the next city!

The Terra Cotta Warriors are quite a sight! I lived in Xi’an with my family for four years, so I know a bit or two about the city. Did you see the Muslim Market when you visited or the Small Goose Pagoda (小雁塔)? Xi’an also has a Big Goose Pagoda (大雁塔), but the Small Goose Pagoda is more serene and picturesque.

Yes I loved the Muslim market but it was soooo hectic and busy! It’s a wonderful city!
